About

General Information

Oh, hi there. I’m Josh and I’m a forum moderator for the Call of Duty titles. I’m also a real person! I have/had real life goals, ambitions, obnoxious opinions and preferences for games that aren’t Call of Duty! I’m a former Biotechnology and Psychology major currently working on contract for Activision. I’m an avid gamer, as you can tell, and enjoy everything from simple indie games to life destroying RPGs. The easiest way to get to know me is to follow me on twitter. All information for that and other ways to message me are on my contact page.

Call of Duty Franchise Moderator/ Treyarch Community VIP

  • Infinity Ward Moderator (IWF): 5/17/2009 to 8/23/2011
  • Treyarch Moderator: 6/11/2010 to Present
  • Infinity Ward Moderator (COD): 9/20/2011 to Present

Most people ask me how I came to become a moderator quite a bit so here it is.

Prior to the launch of Modern Warfare 2 I was an active participant in the Infinity Ward forum. I posted often and created fairly informed threads and posts to the best of my abilities. Trolls came and went, and over time the need for an additional moderator arose. For whatever reason, users from the forum eventually debated on who should become a moderator. A thread in my favor was created and it literally went back and forth over candor and charisma. As unsettling as some of it was, they came to a positive consensus and took it to community manager Robert “Fourzerotwo” Bowling. After the creation of a few highly referenced and popular threads, which were pinned by Bowling, I was approached to moderate the forum. I accepted and took the position head on. Through trial and error I, and my eventual moderator peers, gained experience and insight in a relatively uncommon field.

From there, I’ve had many opportunities to discuss, debate and game with the community. Additional opportunities arose and I found myself moderating the forums for Treyarch’s Call of Duty: Black Ops and Infinity Ward’s latest project, Modern Warfare 3.
