Normally, I choose not to do interviews as some questions I rather not answer. This one though was asked by a good friend so I happily participated. I figure things like this I should put on my blog. So thanks people who suddenly took an interest in my blog! You’ve motivated me to actually do more with it.
So…here we are? It’s October, may not be the first, but it is essentially early October. This is when the war drums start blaring, right? I guess so. Since we’re all gamers, or at least most of you are, we know that October, November and December are THE months to game. We’ll have our awesome games launch and then there will be noobs-a-plenty!
So over the past year or so of moderating I have seen some crazy posts. I personally love them. They making moderating worth while. I am thinking about compiling a bunch of these into a weekly blog post. I guess I would call it “The Flames.” That will work for now. I’ll come up with something witty a bit later.
Moderating the COD:HQ isn’t bad. This is something I have wanted to touch on so my followers know what it is like. It is pretty easy but it does lack some of the features that I have grown very much accustomed to at Infinity Ward, mainly the Admin Control Panel, but I do fairly well. I love the dark theme to it. It delivers a sense of nostalgia from the previous IW site. Not to mention it is pretty awesome to watch Vahn waltz in and tell people how the game really works or how their perception is totally false. The HQ has a really great feeling to it and the community rocks. If you haven’t yet you should sign up there and message me if you need help. Plans for the weekend:
This will do for now. Small post is small.
Seriously, we are still waiting for the Xbox 360 version of the Medal of Honor Beta? I have given up and will most likely go to cancel my pre-order early next week. I wish I could say that I would hold out and wait for them to announce it however this isn’t the first or last time that EA will screw over on logistics. Servers. Betas. Premium Content. What is next? Entire games? It just shocks me how a quality developer and publisher could drop the ball.
